Kaikadi (dog)

The Kaikadi is of the terrier dog breed, named after a nomadic tribe in Maharashtra, India. Kaikadi is a perfect watchdogs as a result the nomadic life they have led watching over herds and they are very good at hunting hare as well as vermin. The Kaikadi is very similar to the whippet dogs and due to their history are best suited for large open areas as opposed to being kept in urban home settings.

Appearance It may be white, tan and black. The Kaikadi are small (about 40 centimeters or less) with thin long legs, but powerful thighs and hocks and their tail is long and tapering, with a head that is long and thin with prominent eyes and long ears that stand erect when alert. They have short hair that requires little maintenance.
